I, , of , join the 6,840,506,233 global citizens who

recognize the State of Palestine

and its permanent membership of the United Nations.

Please note, your name won't be displayed and your email isn't stored. A record of your pledge is made only to count the total number of pledges.

85% of the global population recognize the State of Palestine. The other 15% can opt to be counted.

The 8 billion+ people in the world today are represented by 193 sovereign states1 who are members of the United Nations. Of these, 144 recognize the State of Palestine.2

The sum of 6,840,506,230 is the current estimated total population of the states who recognize Palestine.3 That's 85% of the world by population relative to the 193 states.

The following list of nations are the 49 which don’t currently recognize Palestinian statehood. Together their population adds up to around 1.2 billion people. A significant number of these people who would otherwise wish to recognize the State of Palestine therefore aren’t represented.

The list in the Pledge above includes only these countries. If you’re a citizen of one of them, you can add your name so it’s counted too. Many governments in the countries on the list are unlikely to change their stance, despite being in the minority. You might try to lobby them, or vote for parties who will change their policy. Here, despite the intentions of your government, you too can be counted.

Thank you for adding to the number.
